Plant Based Workshops

We eat less and less meat and everyone has their own reasons for this. Whether it's your health, animal welfare or the environment, a plant-based lifestyle does not have to be boring or difficult at all.

Celebrity private chef Kaitlyn Misheff and photographer & Plant Based chef An De Smedt join forces to help you on your way.

Plant Power Basics I

Whether it's for health reasons, animal welfare or environmental concerns, we’re consuming less meat and dairy than ever before. Adopting a plant-based lifestyle can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. We’re here to help!

In this workshop, you’ll learn delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes, using ingredients from locally sourced markets. Together we’ll enjoy an extensive tasting, because as much as we love creating nutritious, vegan food, we love eating it. We'll also share healthy lifestyle tips because let's face it—being vegan is about much more than your diet.

Our recipes won’t have you in the kitchen all day, but they will give you the energy needed to get you through the day.

All are welcome, whether you’re just experimenting, or an experienced vegan.

Fermentation

The age-old preservation technique has been around for thousands of years, and for good reason. Fermenting foods is not only simple, but it yields delicious results and enhances nutritional content. It’s also a great way to use your produce wisely, taking advantage of it all year long.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic rules of fermentation and its health benefits. In addition to vegetable fermentation, we’ll demonstrate techniques used to make kombucha, vegan cheeses, and yogurt.

All are welcome, whether you’re just experimenting, or an experienced vegan.
