Whip it up as a side or make a nice large bowl of it for dinner with rice, it's incredibly delicious and rich in nutrients.

  • ½ pound broccolini (you can also use broccoli)
  • 2 Tbs Sambal
  • 4 cloves garlic - minced
  • 3 spring onions - sliced fine
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 Tbs toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbs coconut oil
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2  dried hot chilli peppers
  • ¼ cup Tamari
  • 2 Tbs Rice wine vinegar

Hot & Sour Broccolini

Heat coconut oil and sesame oil in a large saute pan on a medium heat.

Add garlic, dried chillies & spring onions to the pan saute until garlic is fragrant.

Add Sambal chilli paste, maple syrup, tamari and rice wine vinegar.

Whisk all ingredients together and let simmer for a 2 to 3 more minutes.

After the sauce had reduced add in your broccolini cover and saute until cooked (about 5minutes or until it’s bright green)

Remove lid and let the sauce reduce for another 2 minutes.

Remove from heat & add the juice of one lime
